Parable of the Day: Prayer before a Meal

Elder Nicholas Gurianov said a long prayer before a meal, like he always did. There were several disdainful youngsters nearby who noticed that and decided to make fun of the old priest. They sat close to the elder, and one of them asked him:

– Father, does everyone pray before meals in your distant Godforsaken boondocks?

The elder responded immediately:

– Of course not, my dear. Pigs, dogs, and horses don’t.
